I am a writer, editor and proofreader based in the United Kingdom, although the benefits of modern technology enable me to deliver work for a range of clients globally in locations including the US, Canada and Australia. I have more than 15 years' professional experience, and a lifelong love of words and writing. I am an Associate of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP) and as such am bound by the Society's code of practice.

Qualifications

Qualifications

I have a BSc (Hons) 2i degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Bath, encompassing:
- psychology (social, cognitive, clinical, health, economic, and developmental),
- research methods in Social Science, and
- Criminal Justice policy, race & racism, family & gender studies.

I have worked for businesses in the City of London, and parts of the UK public sector, specifically the NHS and the National Audit Office. I have held a variety of positions encompassing research, counselling, recruitment, training, and international project management.

Personal interests
My interests are: world travel, fiction writing, running, science-fiction, crime and satirical fiction, movies, and cryptic crosswords.
I am a member of Distributed Proofreaders, and have proofread pages of non-Copyrighted fiction (romance, crime, adventure, horror) and non-fiction (military and engineering). Completed works are uploaded onto the Project Gutenberg archive where they can be downloaded for free onto Kindle and other eBook viewing devices.

- vetting CVs of job applicants, conducting interviews, and administering and marking psychometric testing,
